Fidel Castro is one of her greatest fans. She is one of the few foreigners to be awarded the Grand Medal of the Council of Paris, awarded for honouring the city, and increasing its fame. She has spent 10 years in show business, starred in as many films and sold more than 25 million records.
She is Petula Clark, the English-born child actress who changed to singing, married a Frenchman, lives in Switzerland and has become one of the newest of the trans-Atlantic superstars.
Now she makes her 'Tom Jones debut as sole star guest in a show which claims another "first>" It's the first of the Jones boy's spectaculars to have a central theme.
She joins Tom to tell in music the story of love between a man and a woman--from first meeting through marriage and a break-up to the poignancy of love remembered.
Highlighting the theme in comedy is the Ace Trucking Company, and the stars are supported by Sue and Sonny, the Mike Sammes Singers and the Norman Maen Dancers.
Musical director Johnnie Spence conducts the orchestra, and the choreographer is Norman Maen.
