Petula made her television debut on British experimental TV on July 1, 1946. A few months later, she launched her television career as the youngest host of her very own afternoon BBC series. Throughout the next five decades Petula would solidify her career as a television icon. In her spare time [between her busy recording schedule, appearances on radio, in films and on the concert stage] Petula would appear as a cast regular on numerous TV series, make hundreds of guest appearances on nearly every variety and talk show in Britain and host several more of her own--award winning--television variety series. Needless to say, Petula's British television career is vast, and the development of this page is on-going.
